Shri Yamunotri Dham Temple

Yamunotri Temple is one of the four vital religious shrines of Char Dham. This shrine is nestled in the western Garhwal Himalayas and perched at an altitude of around 3,235 metres, it is also the source of river Yamuna.

Shri Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and is considered to be highly sacred to experience spirituality. History has it that this temple was built by the Maharaja of Tehri, Naresh Sudarshan Shah dated back in 1839.

Shri Kedarnath Dham Temple

Shri Kedarnath Temple is an important sacred setting and is considered to be the most vital among the set of Char Dham pilgrimage sites. It is sprawled in the lap Garhwal Himalayan range, and on the banks of Mandakini River, perched at an elevation of around 3,583 metres.

This shrine is dedicated to Lord Shivan and is among the twelve Jyotirlinga of Shiva. The temple is believed to be built by the Pandava brothers.

Shri Badrinath Temple is a holy shrine nestled in Badrinath town of Chamoli district. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is among the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. Located on the banks of Alkananda River and is tied up in the lap of Garhwal Himalayas.

This temple is said to be known for the last 2,000 years. It is believed to be built by sage Adi Shankaracharya dated back in the 8th century.

Aarti Timings in Char Dham Temples

There is a set of timings for Aarti which are followed by the four shrines that includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The timings may slightly differ as the season changes at every shrine.

Yamunotri Temple’s overall timings throughout the day are from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. Morning Aarti which is called the ‘Mangal Aarti’ is performed from 6:30 am till 7:30. Evening Aarti which is the ‘Shayan Aarti’ is performed from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Gangotri Temple’s overall timings for Aarti are from 6:00 am to 9:30 pm. Mangal Aarti happens at 6:00 am, Shayan Aarti starts at 6:30 pm and ends at 7:45 pm.

For Kedarnath Temple, darshanarthi timings are from 4:00 am to 9:00 pm. Which are not so different from the Aarti timings which happens from 4 in the morning till 7 in the evening that includes a variation of Pujas and path, rituals and sevas.

For Badrinath Temple, overall timings are 4:00 am to 7:00 pm. Maha Abhishek Aarti timings are 4:00 am to 6:30 am. And Shayan Aarti gets performed from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
